Colourful iOS 7 notifications

09 May, 2014

Despite having used iOS 7 just about every day since it launched, there are still things that surprise me about the re-designed mobile OS.

Today, I noticed that the background and timestamps in notifications that drop down from the top of the screen are semi-transparent, taking on the colour of the navigational element beneath them. For most applications, this means they remain plain ol' white: notification - white However, switch over to the Twitter app and things are quite different (this is initially what caught my eye – I couldn't work out why the timestamp was all of a sudden blue): notification - blue Of course, there's an app for every colour in the App Store: notification - green notification - black notification - brown notification - red notification - pink That's all – just a random iOS 7 find of the day.
