calibre is the powerful and easy to use e-book manager.
It is free, open source and cross-platform in design and works well on OS X, Linux & Windows.

calibre is meant to be a complete e-library solution and thus includes library management, format conversion, news feeds to ebook conversion, as well as e-book reader sync features and an integrated e-book viewer.

New in calibre 6.0

calibre has gained support for the Apple Silicon CPU architecture on macOS and the ARM CPU architecture on Linux.
Additionally, it has dropped support for 32-bit CPUs because Qt (one of its dependencies) has dropped 32-bit CPUs.

In particular, on Windows the calibre installer will now automatically un-install 32-bit calibre and replace it with 64-bit calibre. This might require file associations or desktop shortcuts to need to be updated manually.
