Description

Are you already nostalgic for electoral map manipulations? Do you long to see a united 'red' or 'blue' nation? Download RedState/BlueState today and see if you have what it takes to unify the nation!

The RedState/BlueState game is a variant of the "lights out" style games.

When you start play, you are presented with a display of the lower 48 states of the USA. Each state is either Blue or Red in color. When you touch a state, that state and all of the states that border that state have their colors reversed.

The object of the game is to touch states until you have caused all of the states to change to the winning color.

Because the New England states of New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island are small, an enlarged view of these states is presented if you touch in the area of these states. This enlarged view allows you to touch the appropriate state. Once you touch a state (or any other area on the screen) the appropriate color swapping occurs and the enlarged view disappears.

The same enlarged action occurs if you touch in the area or the states of Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.

On the starting page you can select the winning color, enter your name for high score recording, cause these instructions to be displayed and start the game.

Once you start the game you will see a yellow square in the lower left hand corner of the screen. This square displays the number of touches required to win the game. If you wish, you can touch the "Hints..." button and a box will appear with the two letter abbreviation of a state that must be touched to win the game. You can win the game by using the "Hints..." for every move.
